FGS, Fabrication, LLC Is AISC Certified

FGS Fabrication, LLC, is pleased to announce their successful completion and certification as an American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) certified Bridge and Highway Metal Component fabricator.

This certification makes FGS Fabrication, LLC, one of the very few miscellaneous metal fabricators in Illinois to meet the new standards required by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), effective with the July 2010 letting. As of this letting, fabricated iron fencing, gates, bridge railing, and pedestrian railing must be completed by a certified manufacturer to be accepted by IDOT.

FGS Fabrication encourages all contractors performing work for IDOT to contact their miscellaneous metals fabricator and ask for a copy of their AISC certificate to confirm their compliance with this new regulation.

FGS Fabrication, LLC was founded in April 2009, as a wholly owned subsidiary of GFS – Fence, Guardrail & Signage, Inc., a member of the GFS Group of Companies. With new state of the art welding and fabrication equipment and certified welders, FGS Fabrication provides customized fabrication of iron and steel components for the commercial construction and heavy highway industries.
